For their subscriptions, members receive:
- Articles by leading academics in the social sciences, ideas and proposals for lessons, plus reviews of recently published books and other teaching resources.
- An annual national conference for teachers and lecturers in the social sciences. This three day event offers you the chance to attend lectures by leading academics and to participate in a wide range of workshops led by experienced teachers and lecturers. All the major Awarding Bodies and publishers attend this conference and provide information and advice on a number of relevant issues. It is also an opportunity to meet and socialise with social scientists from all over Britain and beyond in a friendly and welcoming environment. Non-members are welcome, but members who book early can obtain a considerable discount.
- Regular news and views. This aims to keep you up to date with what is happening in the social sciences and in social science teaching.
- A range of regional staff and student conferences. These are offered every year and many are free or available at very competitive prices. Should you wish to organise an event like this at your own institution, ATSS can provide support and access to speakers enabling you to raise the profile of social science teaching in your own region.
